19/05 :  National Mapping Archive Project for UPDA

   On June 17th, ISC was contracted by Qatar Urban Planning & Development Authority (UPDA) to implement a new project for The Centre for GIS (CGIS). The project is called "National Mapping Archive Project" by which ISC will scan the existing aerial film negatives and contact prints using high quality and high definition scanners and to develop a GIS application and GDB using latest ESRI GeoRelational technology to enable CGIS users search, locate, manage, preview and print scanned images in a user-friendly customized interface. Additionally ISC is to index images, create metadata, train users, and provide long term technical support.
